Try construction if you want something to make every job really feel like a cakewalk :dead:
I've done construction featherweight. U don't even have to deal with rude ass customers for talking to u like u ain't shyt for 8 hours. Construction > fast food. Construction pays WAY more too.

In a refinery? You ever worked 12 hours a day for 13 days straight as the normal schedule? :comeon:

Working fast food in high school made every job I had after that feel like a cake walk. Being on your feet all day, everything fast paced, dealing with rude entitled customers, shyt built tough skin.
I work at McDonald's 5 years and every job I have had since than has been a breeze. I look at the time and say :whoo: my shift is over already. People really don't understand the struggles of working at McDonald's. Working fast pace, dealing with customer who look down on yu, taking orders from a person younger than me who doesn't kno half the shyt I kno.

It wasn't just at work just the stigma of being a McDonald's worker made people look at me funny and I hated it because I'm a smart intellectual person, I'm a senior in college, I've accomplished a lot in my life but people just looked at me as the McDonald worker

Isn't this the type of article thecoli should love? Whites acknowledging their "white privilege" and "white supremacy" :coffee:

U just said 13 days :what: which one is it? And dog I've worked every job under the sun where the minimum requirement is a HS diploma. Dont forget, I'm the coli's resident stereotypical spic, I've done it ALL. Construction, warehouses, call centers, fast food, retail (from supermarkets to drug stores to hardware stores, etc), office manager, car salesman, health insurance agent, medical billing and coding, and I'm now currently a locksmith. And that's me going off the top of my head. I've done it all pup

I've worked various jobs on every level

95% of people don't know what the fukk they're doing in any industry is my conclusion

Don't sell yourself short by settling for anything. Simply protect your rep (good rep) and you can do anything you want to coz most people are idiots and followers

Wow you sure do live up to your name.

Anyone with common sense and compassion would have taken the article at face value, instead of trying to ridicule the writer.

Isn't the realization more important than the measurement of time? If a man becomes a nurse at 22 and a woman becomes a nurse and 35, does that make her any less of a nurse?

Why this site have so many negative people?

I didn't think I was being overly negative, but whatever...I'm not oblivious to the sentiment she is trying to make.

Article just read like she came to some earth-shaking epiphany. Like they just came to the realization that, "oh people who work at McDonald's are human too."

I'm not too fond of self-congratulating narratives that teenagers and people the world over should have concluded decades ago.

Now she can go back and fight the good fight when her middle to upper middle class friends make sarcastic quips when ordering a big Mac.

I get it...

They just let anyone publish articles these days.

How's working call centers? I heard it was frustrating & hilarious. The rage customers would have towards you, just because your doing your job is hilarious.
