I feel you in theory, but most likely your wife is going to be someone who has been in the club one time or another. What chicks doesn't at least occasionally go to the club in her late teens and 20's? Would it matter if you met her at the club or at the college library if she visits both places? Just playing devil's advocate.

One of my boys met his wife in the club and they are happily married. Me and my wife hang out with them all the time.

What harms people is the inability to balance the two in a reasonable, inoffensive way.

The choice shouldn't be between a thorough brainwashing from a slick-talking TD Jakes type hustler, and being a spend-thrift alcoholic with no purpose in life.

Church amongst the black community is truly a two sided coin, because numerous teachings from the bible have been used to oppress, belittle and demonize blacks, meanwhile on the hand it also lead formal gatherings, kept a sense of unity in the black community and indirectly lead to freedom and civil rights.

With that said,

Trollops can be found in both arenas. "From my experience" gurls who attended church on a regular basis, gave it up the earliest in their youth, despite all that saving it for marriage rhetoric. The second a trip to youth camp came up, it was feasting time, for even the lamest of lames.

It's also worth mentioning that, "not every chick" who goes to club engages in demonic activity. Every now and then, I'll come across some chick who, just their for her friends' birthday and won't leave the table under any circumstance, because they're in a faithful relationship, sh*t happens,

In conclusion, alcohol + numerous people with inflated egos is a recipe for disaster, especially when it results in mindless killings.

The church has done more damage to humanity in general than any club.

The church encouraged and encourages complacency among the disadvantaged, telling them to rest their hopes on a glorious afterlife as compensation for the crappy life they lead. Why do people over 40 gravitate towards the church? True, the moral guidelines help stave off some self-destructive behaviors, but people embrace it even more due to their fear of death and failed dreams.

The church is run by power-hungry hypocrites who extort money from those who can't afford to give. Religion is scam artists selling dreams. The result? Terrorist attacks, child abuse, anti-intellectualism, slavery, rape, and murder.

Not to say these things would be non-existent without religion (although if there is a god, he doesn't intervene in the murder and torture of innocents AND he holds us accountable if we react to the world around us full of things that are supposedly against his will).

If religion didn't exist, people will still be the barbarous b*stards they've always been. But a man is capable of new heights of brutality if he thinks his actions are ordained by a higher power. If he thinks that a god cares more about him and/or loves him more than his fellow man.

The club can't even compare.
