What happened to Gen z and the younger Gen in music? The majority of the top music acts in every genre are in their 30s or they are pushing 30

Music used to be a young person game especially hip hop and pop but now most of the big acts are on the older side.

Is being a musician becoming an old head occupation?. Or are we moving away from the big crossover superstar and moving towards musical
acts with a smaller dedicated fanbase like nba youngboy?

Why is the music business failing to find new superstars?

Social media and the Internet kind of made everything niche, people stick to what comes up in their algorithm.

If you weren't already famous by the early 2010s (and most people who were are now 30+) then it's hard to blow up or even get mainstream exposure.

It's not really like back in the day where you could blow up off a radio hit or something.

Not enough innovators. A handful of styles can only be rehashed for so many generations before it becomes played out. Not having the creativity to differentiate yourself from your peers is what's going on right now. Media tries to push images too tho so what you see on front Street is what they want you to see. Social engineering talk and all that.

It's a combination of a bunch of things but the main factor is lack of originality

Gen Z is packed to the gills with a lot of díckriding faggòts who love the attention — and they simply aren’t bringing alot of innovation to the table despite uninhibited access to media, music of the past and technology that’s only limited by imagination.

The early 2010's it was easier to get organic reach

Nowadays, the market is oversaturated or you have to pay for play
