As the movie theater industry is sadly on the decline, movies are losing their aura to content creation, and lack of direction. This thread is to reminisce of the greater times that you had involving cinema on the big screen. Rather it be a bad situation that you still talk about to this day, or the night you finally touch the kitty while the audience was focus on Jason's return...what is your greatest theater memory?

For instance:

The Dark Knight opening night blew the marsupial's mind to bits. I remember going to see the flick with my ex at the time and the environment was lit as hell. You had a bunch of black folks under one umbrella just goofing off, getting food, and keeping the peace as the late night cinema approach. Anywho, we got our seats and man....it was like one of the greatest experiences in my life:

  • The meta commentary (everytime The Joker killed somebody, some dude yelled out "THE JOKER!" :krs: )
  • The seer silence and awe when The Joker told them scars
  • Hilarity when Bats popped up and slam the Joker's head against the desk like a turnbuckle in the 90s.
  • One of the best moments my ex and I had before we moved on
Another example is when I finally showed emotion in a theater (usually I clap and laugh, but meh). My wife and I watched "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and I was so blown away with how cinematic the movie was (the scenery, the gloomy misty vibes of the theater, etc). The ending to the movie broke the hell out of me. The fact that the love was there from birth to death just made me think of my wife and how far we came to finally embracing each other's presence. Of course the misses laughed at me because she's a hard ass about everything, but that was the night that I loved this woman and continue to appreciate her existence in my life.

Dark Knight - Line down the block and down the street. people literally began running when the velvet rope was removed. nikkax didn’t realize they were showing it in five theatres lol

Ong Bak - Crowd went ape shyt the last 30 minutes

Breh TDK was like the modern day Star Wars to heads. I have never seen anything like that period. It was hell on earth trying to get tickets during the time, I had to just get a midnight showing and once the movie was over, like I remember how chill everybody was going home. I'm over here looking left and right like a quarterback, but truth be told, 2008 was probably one of the last times I loved my hometown despite the issues with it. Truly some brotherly love shyt that night man.

Seeing Star Wars Episode 1

mfers was going crazy over Darth Maul :wow:

What's crazy that I actually remember the complete opposite when I went to see Episode 1. The audience was :unimpressed: , mainly, trying to make sense of Jar Jar Binks being all in the videos and why Darth Maul scenes were treated like friggin Boba Fett.

Avengers Endgame, real tears and snot bubbles at: "I'm Iron Man"....

:dead: I remember my wife and son went when I was stuck in Best Buy hell. They were like :russell: until the end of the flick. But when we went to see Infinity War, heads were like :lupe: with Thanos snapping. The entire audience was quiet as hell with Spiderman dying :mjcry: . I don't feel so good posting this btw :sadcam:

Like 14. My shytty stepfather took me and my siblings to see the flick. It was such a meh experience from the audience being :francis: , and my brother and I crying of laughter because my sister thought the flying alien racing promoter was a butterfly :deadrose:
