Seeing my guy Yondu redeem himself and get a proper sendoff even though he sacrificed himself thinking he wouldn't get one was

I've been thinking about this scene lately and I randomly just caught the end of GOTG2. It still got me right in the feelings and it has so many themes wrapped up in that moment. Honor, dishonor, redemption, sacrifice, fatherhood, family, loyalty. Not to mention the theme of accepting your fate but taking control of your life. I think this scene has been on my mind especially because of the fatherhood aspect. My Pops is a little rough around the edges and he weirdly reminds me of Yondu, and this random movie helps remind me not to take him and my mom for granted.

Never would have thought a Marvel movie would get this much emotion out of me but I needed this tonight. Cheers, brehs.
