What film seems like it doesn’t belong in a certain director’s filmography?

I know that, but that type of movie was anomaly for him compared to ET and the Indiana Jones movies
Saving Private Ryan, Lincoln, Schindler’s List, Catch Me if You Can, Amistad, Bridge of Spies, War Horse, Band of Brothers, The Post, etc.

You really think this man has only done Syfy and action adventures? Do you live in 1986? He has one of the most diverse filmographies of all time.

I’m older than you, and it was a time Spielberg was known as the popcorn flick guy, that’s the era I was referring to. I’m concentrating on the before Schindler’s List Spielberg era.
I get what you’re saying also, but we grew up with different Spielbergs

Paul Vehorean- Showgirls
First off his name is Paul Verhoeven. And Showgirls fits exactly into his filmography, lol. It goes right alongside his other "sleaze" films like Basic Instinct and Elle as well as his early Dutch films like Spetters and Turks Fruit.

I’m not familiar with those last 3. Are they available anywhere?

The internet probably. :russ:

Elle is from 2016 I think so it's new but it's also in French. Turks Fruit and Spetters are essentially Dutch cult films, I honestly wouldn't know where to find them outside of the Netherlands. :russ:

Gotcha. I was only aware of his American work like Robocop, Total Recall and the like.
