I'm sure this thread has been done before, but what movie provided your goat theater experience?

For me it has to be The Dark Knight :wow:

The anticipation, the hype, that opening scene. Never has a movie been as talked-up as TDK and then exceed expectations. Knowing Ledger was dead and then watching Joker regulate for 2.5 hours.. Man, shyt was just electric. Everyone in the theater was in awe when it was over

Jurassic Park and Avatar are right there though. Spielberg and Cameron movies feel like roller coasters :lawd:

Yeah, The Dark Knight in my adult years. Being a Bat-Stan, shyt was just mad important. Batman Begins had me on hype, but the hype was just bigger than the movie - which I don't fault the movie AT ALL.

I had a gathering of 20 peeps at the theater for that Friday, but went to see the midnight showing the night before by myself :heh:

As a kid, nothing beat Terminator 2. shyt was just the dopest flick an 11 year old could see at that time.

as a kid i don't remember being hyped for anything more than i was for batman returns.

having said that, as a kid i was such a wide eyed optimist that i loved pretty much anything. there were no "bad" theater experiences. i had fun during SUPER MARIO BROS! i had fun during KAZAAM! lmao

more recently though I will say this is the end. just cause I remember me and the whole theater being in stitches. that was a great time.

Last Harry Potter, grabbed some midnight tickets on premeire night. I'm not the biggest fan of going that late, but it was really fun.

Dark Knight easy .

I was working at Frys Electronics at the time and the vendors from Intel gave us a deal that if we can sit through 20 minutes of product training, we get free passes for the 8PM showing :gladbron: No one else in my city saw it before midnight. Plus they had a raffle where you could've won shyt from a new flat screen TV to a graphics card . They also fed us pizza , soda and ice cream (took two large Domino's boxes home cause they had too much ) and of course, it was a private showing .

Walking out of the theater , seeing everyone else still waiting in line for another hour for the midnight showing like :jawalrus:

Rush Hour 2 is a distant second followed by Transformers.
