Old NYC, even the buses were gully back then :ahh:

The first thing they need to do to recapture the "magic" is bring the grafitti back. Once they cleaned up the subway cars the writing was on the wall (:youngsabo:). The only remnants of old NYC are the museum buses and the bombed out section of the Bronx. Most of the other shyt has been whitewashed or developed. I hear Staten Island used to be wilderness in those days. Old NYC was definitely interesting and full of vigor and that's the rep it's living off of today. There's really nothing special about the post Koch/Guliani era NYC. Everything is generic right down to the cabs and buses.

how is it that gangs in NYC got broken apart but gangs in l.a. and chicago are still here after, God knows how long?

B/c people always say NY wasnt a gang city but it obviously was...
