damn. even tho it looks dirty as hell in pictures, NY was the shyt back in those days. I'm sure everyone was broke as fukk back then and it was dangerous but the photos make it look like something interesting.

Because it was interesting, I'm only old enough to remember NYC in the early 90's but you ask an adult that remembers the 70's and 80's in NYC and most will wax poetic about it. As bad as NYC was they have very fond memories of that era.
