What made this match so crazy.
Like the craziest most well done cliff hanger ending in WWE history
was, the fact of how the airing to the ppv went off abruptly.
kudos to the WWE industry leading live event production team at this ppv.
from time management to matches to the holy sheit is mick dead ending.

as soon as rock raised his hand in victory and the confusion of the ending happened all in quick successive order. It was so hard to process the safety of mick....EVEN IF IT WAS A WORK.

I TOTALLY REMEMBER QUESTIONING MYSELF AS A SMART AT THE END OF THE MATCH.
AS i literally was in shock by the work executed by mick and the rock as the heel aggressor.

so any love remaining as a mark went to a level of null and void. From my immediate reaction to the visual of rock executing the ending to this match.
when i am supposed to be a smart and know this was the highest quality drawing finish.
yet to see it play out.
even had me questioning the book that night.

That it is so brutal in execution, and visual brutality.

I literally was concerned for mick.
the entire twenty two hours waiting for raw to air.
even with the Sheets and being a smart.
I still wanted to know how and if mick could function properly the next night and for the rest of his life.
if you can get this match without supporting the WWE on the network and can find this match as a used physical.
i urge you to do so.
especially the vhs version as I believe it features the original ppv ending.
That was and to this day. One of the most appalling and shocking ending to any WWE match historically. When generally and previously to this point in the modern post rocknroll wrasslin era.
wwe work rate to the very finish was atypically dated, dialed back and neutered.
other than bloodstone which previously would have held the mark of most brutal epic WWE match ending in history.

this is one of the definitive large pop commercial finishes in a boom period done just right. To get over how much off a champion possessed and obsessed villainous heel tha rock is/was.
where even opposite the most loveable face in mick.
..coupled with dangerous felonious fully violent urgency.
the former fan favorite tweener, tha rock was/is as a character and most importantly.
totally convincing as a championship boom modern era level heel worker and draw.

reaffirmed how much care, admoration and love.

to literally fall in love for the well fair, care and well being for forever for mick foley.
after watching,...no experiencing And living through the ordeal mick endured in this match.

no less than i love mick Foley will be your honest inner true statement after watching this match. Any other feeling i would consider to be alien to what being human and having true concern for another person is.

Truly gripping and life questioning visual event to experience.

again highly highly recommended,....
for any experienced smart level to experience smart mark level fan.

Nor a gateway wrasslin viewing based match as well.
so only view this match if you are experienced, and masterfully well versed in the exhibition worked art of wrasslin.

It was wrong cause it went against what they agreed but it made for a great and classic match, 1 of my favourites ever. Rock I don't think had malicious intentions just got carried away and caught up in the moment. I can understand why Mick wasn't happy about it for a time, when you entrust your body to somebody like that, especially with hands tied behind back you are needing them to look after you. Unfortunate incident but in hindsight I don't think Mick would even change it, it became an all time classic match. It was 1 of the illest things I saw at the time, was extreme but it told 1 hell of an emotive story, it was brutal.

I'm surprised he was able to write a few books unless he got one of his kids to do it and then just signed off on them.
