It's a feat, but it's not a surefire stat that means you're a great or even good fighter. Nowadays managers are bringing along fighters extra slow. Sure, cats like Broner and Floyd are obviously great fighters with undefeated records. But look at someone like Deontay Wilder, who has 26 wins (and 26 knockouts) and no losses. On the surface that sounds impressive, but check his resume and you're be hard-pressed to recognize a single guy he's beaten. Watch him fight and you won't see much more than a guy with imposing size and a truck of a right hand. You really don't know how good a fighter is until they have to face adversity, whether that's a loss or simply getting knocked down.

If you look at who Floyd has fought, its insane for people to say he isn't as great as he is.
Its like, all his haters want him to fight every fighter they like. And if he don't do it on THERE TERMS? Then he's ducking :rudy:
He's fought the best fighters in the world, so ain't no one fighter out there that can make Floyd "scared"

Anybody you wanted Floyd to fight... are they still fighting?
Are they any good? Please don't waste my/yours/floyds time again if you can't name a single worthy fighter that deserves a shot :yeshrug:
(This is directed at floyd haters)

Having a "0" means more in boxing now than what it used to. People put too much stock in that now.

Back in the day that shyt would happen and fighters would keep it moving, get a rematch and avenge the loss or just move on and win more belts and keep building themselves. It was part of the game to fighters then I guess.

the internet is filled with stupid people like you :flabby::deadmanny:

you know who you would lose to ... take that fight anyway, why you get your feelings hurt little guy?

No feelings hurt....but it was still a garbage statement. You know who you would lose to??? You think Lennox Lewis "knew" he'd lose to Rahman? Like I said, you sound like a novice when it comes to throwing hands...especially boxing. On a world class level in any sport, you run the risk of losing regardless how heavily favored you are. To make a run ala Floyd or Rocky as the OP suggested, is a feat.

you sound like a novice for judging someone over the net Lol nikka how much you weight 130? :pacspit:

we all know who we'd get beat by and most of us dodge that fade

but using your logic against you, take the fight you lose cause "you never know"

you are just thinking in one direction ... why dodge the number 1 when number 10 can catch you? might as well take your chances right?

You're a clown. If we are talking boxing then we are talking about business. There's more to putting a fight together than someone saying "hey let's fight". The OP mentioned Floyd and Rocky by name, so that's what I'm basing my rationale by. In Floyd's case, he's been fighting WORLD CHAMPIONS since the 90's! Now some people have a promotional company behind them that creates the "boogey man" aura for a fighter (Margarito). Yet, you have someone like Shane come along and beat him...and Floyd hopped right in the ring with the winner. Now Floyd didn't fight Margarito, but I doubt it came from fear of "catching a fade" BECAUSE he fought the guy that battered him! So to dismiss a perfect record as a reflection of bypassing challenges for lesser opponents is flawed. Like I said at first, at that level anybody can get touched. So when a fighter goes his entire career fighting a decade plus worth of world champions and can avoid the pitfalls of undertraining, being unfocused, get caught looking past a guy, catching a cramp or injury, getting clipped on the ear and lose his equilibrium, or a liver shot...(you know, stuff boxing fans have seen happen to the best of them) you have to acknowledge it. So you can stop projecting your pussified way of handling conflict on world class fighters who partake in a BUSINESS of sports entertainment.

:usure: This logic is faulty

Antonio Margarito DESTROYED Sergio Martinez, who KO'd Paul Williams, who DOMINATED Winky Wright, who beat Shane Mosley in back to back fights.

Does that mean Margarito shouldn't have fought Shane Mosley?:what:

Or even the most perfect example.

Muhammad Ali knocked out George Foreman, who knocked out Joe Frazier, who knocked out Muhammad Ali.

According to the logic presented, George Foreman should have never even fought Ali, because the guy Foreman MURDERED (Frazier) was coming off a fight where he beat up Ali and broke his jaw in 3 places.
