it means you dodged fighting someone that could beat you

:stopitslime:....such a garbage statement....everytime you lace them up there's a chance you may lose. You sound like somebody that's never been in a fight before. A well placed shot behind the ear or a well placed liver shot don't come with records. Anybody can catch you. So going undefeated is a feat.

It means nothing if you hand picked all your opponents. Boxing needs more tournaments like the super 6. All those guys were undefeated basically and now only one is.

If being undefeated means a lot then joe calzaghe is the GOAT light heavyweight. Lol

but Mayweather is, cause he's black

Mayweather has fought tougher fights than Marciano ever did. And Mayweather is not top 10. He a sucka too for not fighting Pacman.

Most of the fighters Marciano fought were past their primes.

It's a feat, but it's not a surefire stat that means you're a great or even good fighter. Nowadays managers are bringing along fighters extra slow. Sure, cats like Broner and Floyd are obviously great fighters with undefeated records. But look at someone like Deontay Wilder, who has 26 wins (and 26 knockouts) and no losses. On the surface that sounds impressive, but check his resume and you're be hard-pressed to recognize a single guy he's beaten. Watch him fight and you won't see much more than a guy with imposing size and a truck of a right hand. You really don't know how good a fighter is until they have to face adversity, whether that's a loss or simply getting knocked down.
