I picture verses in my head on a sheet of paper. Some verses just LOOK more "lyrical" than others this way. Of course theirs way more involved when it comes to the actual song.


For example, when I envision Lupe's "Mural" written down on paper

Some rappers are clever, some are descriptive, some use big vocabularies... I've heard all these and more be called lyrical. It makes it impossible to compare. Jay is every bit the lyricist Nas is but they do it in different ways..

yeah everybody displays being lyrical in their own way some use more metaphors and wordplay then others

some do more complex rhyme schemes then others some are punchline heavy then others etc.

but all of it is lyrical.
