Is that difficult to not fried foods tho? Like are people really eating fried protein 2-3 times a day?
I mean if I’m eating chicken breast all of these days, I’d like to switch it up sometime.

Don’t be acting like fried chicken, shrimp, fish, and fries aren’t good.

Then when you eat a baked potato you wanna put some sour cream, cheese, bacon, and butter on that bytch.

Ion want no plain ass baked potato with just butter.

I don’t even eat this way normally, but that’s what I’m saying the example is like.

You go from flavorful food to just the food itself.

You take all the shyt that makes it taste good and you just have plain food with maybe some flavor.

I know you shouldn’t have that all of the time of course.

I doubt you have to be so inflexible that you could have chicken thighs instead of chicken breast. Much tastier.

Not saying it’s not good but I slowly tuned those things out because it conflicts with my general goals.

You can probably put those things on the backend potato but don’t go full retart.

Overall you (anybody) has to realize that the same input is going to yield the same output. You do have to make some modifications to eat “better” more than often. At a minimum try to thing 80/20. Good solid meals 80% of the time and more pleasing 20% of the time. Cold turkey is difficult for certain.

fukkin facts breh, what do you think the 20% should be?

See my main problem is that I go big or go home; I always get the big meals. When I get a small meal, I crave more.

Another thing with healthy food is that I can still taste it after I ate it.

For example I made some salmon and I could taste that shyt all day.

I made chicken one time and I still have that taste that lasts all day.

You know what I mean?

But the good thing is that now I can’t really eat fast food too much because I feel sluggish after eating it, so I’m starting to get away from it and eat better food.

It seems I can’t eat that crap food anymore.

Just gotta stick with it overall. Find a reasonable way to have some fried food without going crazy. I would at adding in a good amount of fruit and vegetables too which will help with feeling full and of course is better for you anyway.

nothing :feedme:
Yeah that’s true lol.

Like if I’m making chicken I want a lot of sauce, not a little bit. I liked fried foods, not grilled lol.
You know what I mean though, plain old chicken breast, steak, rice, potatoes.

shyt gets so boring quick.
lots of low cal sauces you can make, marinades as well for grilling.

seems like you should try to get into stiry fry's. use lean meat like chicken breast or even thigh, shrimp, scallops, tofu, or meaty white fish that can stand up a quick sautee. add lots of veggies, and make sauces that are a some sort of combo of the following (not all, but these are staple ingredients for different stiry fry sauces):
  • soy sauce, fish sauce, a little brown sugar, garlic, lemongrass, onion, jalepeno, cilantro, ginger, hot pepper flakes, sesame oil, peanut butter, coconut milk (low fat), curry powder, rice vinegar, chili paste, a lil corn starch if you want to thicken it, etc.
you can easily make a stir fry serving for 300-350 cals per serving, ~450 if you add rice or noodles (soba noddles are a good choice)

some of this is just retraining yourself. you need to learn to appreciate the flavor/texture/taste of the food without all the etxtras. like i don't put shyt on my broccoli, just steam it and eat it plain, i've come to love plain broccoli, or a simple salt/pepper/garlic/lemon combo on sauteed veggies.

it's easy to eat baked potatoes or sweet potatoes without all the extra stuff. make substitutions,. have a tiny pat of butter on your potato, some garlic/onion powder, paprika, pepper, chives, and greek yogurt instead of sour cream...same feeling for less cals

in order to eat right you have to be able to cook right...esp if you have a sedentary lifestyle...cut is literally cutting what you eat and how much you eat..a successful cut begins at the table then gym second...always remember that

So I’ve looked up meal plans online and they all say the same thing. Chicken, fish, rice, potatoes, etc.

Very bland and very boring food for me, but it seems to be the staple of losing weight.

Thing is, this is supposed to be a lifestyle change and realistically I can’t eat like this for even a week straight.

Was just wondering what y’all usually eat on a cut?
Pretty much the bold except I substitute the rice for veggies.

I don't actually mind it though. After a while and it becomes a lot easier and I find that the guilt I feel after eating a cheat meal is rarely worth having that meal.

How long have you been cutting and how long do you plan to cut?
