Before i read your post i was going to say he's going to re-sign with WWE. They are treating him too good over there. HHH & HBK love breh. I bet that rumored "huge angle" that was suppose to happen before the pandemic. Involved him, and Undisputed Era maybe. The sheets say it was planned to be bigger than The Nexus takeover.


Anyway, the problem is after he re-signs. HHH will push for Cole on the main roster. Cokeboy will give him a slight chance, then he'll be mid card for 4 of the 5 years in his contract. Shyt he might go back to NXT like Balor.

HHH and Cokeboy for Cole's first year on the main roster will be them butting heads behind the scenes on how to book him. HHH has seen what Vince does to call ups too many times. Cokeboy will always get the final say though



So yeah, like you said. He should go to AEW then go back to WWE later when Vince is out of the picture.

This nikka bout to be the wrestling equivalent of Lebron after this "decision". Especially if he leaves, and then return.

now granted my favorite recent match i love to rewatch is hangman versus switchblade. plus i feel hangman used to be thee dopest under utilized bullet club member.
that By timeline hangman is nowhere near cole before injury.
now granted I have not seen nxt or wwe in forever.
I would not say hangman has made a resume that can rival cole.
Imo, I like hangman more than cole rather easily.
even if his original gimmick is questionable cringe for a black man to invest in fully and watch.

Ideally, he stays with WWE and continues his arc with NXT as one of the marquee stars for when start touring like they planned.

If he gets called up to the main roster, it'd be best that he goes to Smackdown where he may be able to thrive a bit more.

A jump to AEW would be fine for the future, but Cole's got plenty of time. He's still got a lot that he can accomplish in WWE and building his base can only drive his price up when or if he does want to make that move.
