i'm a musician primarily and i do enjoy it. i've been playing for 20+ years so it's not difficult for me anymore in terms of my understanding/control of my primary instrument. the only times i don't enjoy are moments where i feel growth, advancement and creativity are stagnate. these can occur at any moment but when they occur within the realms of my professional work (like at a performance, or mindless rehearsals or dead-end gigs) that makes it difficult to proceed with my craft.

at times i wanted to be a musician but most of my life i've dabbled in a few different things. i wasn't trained specifically for a career in music, my education was more sociologically based. but, like most things in life, if you seek education on how to do it, you'll find a way even if it isn't like everyone else's. i still don't know if it's what i want to do forever or serve as a main source of living but i feel i can and do use any skill i have in my arsenal to create whatever i need and it just so happens i've been dealing with music for the longest. i'm still in the hunt for new skills.

What instruments do you play?
Would you ever incorporate your academic training with your musical acumen if you could?

saxophone primarily. i have done studies at universities and was a music major at one point but i've also randomly sent messages to musicians i've admired living in different places i've never met asking for lessons and taken trips to study with them, without the assistance of a university or school structure. i don't like the university system because it gives people the wrong idea about education (the time and place for it, the proper channels and proper information, and the value of what you've acquired). not to mention, apprenticeship and mentoring >>> schooling when it comes to a craft

I work on patrol, give directions, recommendations, help people, clean, whatever needs to be done... Not police or security...

I love my job, I get to work among my people & Im respected... Ive trained people... Ive never had any real problems with anyone cause people know me outside the job... When I go home I can literally say I helped someone & feel good about my day...

I was made for this...

I work for a wack ass temp service, doing a petty ass, minimum wage warehouse job that I hate. I'm only 21, but I still feel uncomfortable with where I'm at in life. Only doing it as a means to get money in my pocket temporarily while in school. I honestly don't even want to be in school though, I'm just doing it so I can be doing something constructive while working towards what I really want to do with my life. As soon as I can find a way to make real money off of selling beats, I'll never think about a warehouse job or a trade school ever again

Boring computer stuff. Yes I hate it. I feel like I would be happier if I was doing something more creative or significant. Idk though i just gotta find what I want my life to be like. I still have time though
