I'm not saying people should not split the work. I'm just saying what women did in the past. A lot of women now is i work and why should i cook. you find your own food.

I don't have a problem with cooking, that's easy. But a guy could at least put the dishes in the dishwasher. :dahell:

I get called damaged goods for thinking a guy should help his wife (that has a job, just like him) with housework. Instead laying around making a mess and watching her clean it.

A lot of the women I know who feel like the women in this thread are 30/close to 30 and not married :patrice:

Well, I never planned on getting married, so I'm good. :smugdraper:

& I'm 21, not 30.

I also don't know any married men that have a problem with helping their working wife with household chores. But maybe you're right, maybe wanting your husband/bf to help with housework after you worked from 9 to 5 and cooked dinner for him is way too much for a woman to ask for. :lupe:

I mean if they found men like that more power to them. I can't really take a 21 year old woman who says she don't want to get married seriously though. If you feel that way when your 26 then you are a rare breed.

So it's close to impossible to find a man that's not gonna be lazy and doesn't make me do all the housework? If so then there's a 100% chance I will still feel the same way about not wanting to get married when I'm 26. :leostare: I'm not trying to be a miserable overworked wife and mother. That doesn't sound appealing at all.

I'd expect her to do most of the cooking and cleaning and me doing the traditional man roles but if to I'll have no problem doing either.

:laff: @ me making a mess in the house and thinking my wife is obligated to clean it up like she's my mother. :laff:

Back in the day, men and women were different. This is because a certain dynamic was held. Men went to work, paid all the bills, repaired shyt, mowed the lawn, and etc. Women would make sure the house was clean, cater to the kids, make sure dinner was always made, did laundry, and etc. Now that women work and contribute equally financially, we do not have the time to complete all these activities. Therefore, the household is now an equal effort for both the man and the woman. If you want her to do as she is told and cater to you and the kids at all times, then you gotta let her be a housewife.
