he made every soundcloud rapper/ producer start working with 150 - 160 bpm beats

not really breh, southside been making beats above 150 bpm
same with the working on dying crew

like i said, that sound and speed been around for a while now

Southside isn't a soundcloud producer

Never said it hasn't been around, but he set a trend

but 808mafia have a popular sound tho and pierre def didn't start a trend , that style had been around before, even carti jumped on beats that sounded like that a year before even making magnolia , all you have to do is go on listen to old MexikoDro, working on dying, goth money or BMB to hear them sounds

you probably think he started a trend cause of tay k and ybn namire right?

If he collaborated with other producers more and use different sounds/drums he could really stamp his name in the game

He's definitely talented though

That Reason beat is one of the smoothest tracks I've heard in a long time but his other shyt isn't special

cmon :beli: His stuff with Playboi was the best hip hop of 2017 hands down.

I just found out he did the Gummo beat. I had no idea. I always liked that beat but 69 is so trash vocally that I can't play it. That Poles1469 is pretty good, too.

Pierre's miss more than hit but he's easily the best new producer on the scene.

Pretty good, but I really wish he didn't give so many good beats to nikkas that are straight trash.

Magnolia was fire, but I still think Carti was undeserving of that shyt.

People stay gassing up these trash trap producers :hhh:
Every beat metro makes is "fire" even though it sounded like the last 997
Every trap beat is "fire"
If you sample an old videogame or remix a popular song with a lex luger snare and some lex luger hi hats and big 808s it's "fire"
Lord save us from this trash era:lawd:

Metro is definitely more talented than Pierre to me, but he's just been on auto pilot lately. He was having a good run 2013-2015 or 16.
I guess you'd have to quantify era because if we go back to 2010 I'd say Lex since he created the sound. I don't think I've heard a new producer that's really wowed me in a while.
For the sake of argument let's just say the past 5 years or so

Metro and London who you're familiar with

RonnyJ

Cubeatz who coproduced goosebumps by Travis Scott, that part, summer sixteen, no shopping, tunnel vision as well as a couple of my favorites like Grab the Wheel by Uzi

Wondagurl who made Antidote and Scott And Ramona among plenty others.

Pierre's style was basically in the type beat producer community before he was big. I can't specify specific examples (because I never saved any of them because I didn't like them then either) but what Pierre is doing is definitely nothing new.

The type beat producers tend to be better producers than most of the famous ones too. Pierre is just generic as hell to me but I can see why people like his stuff. He's just not a godly producer, just flavor of the month and kinda good at what he does. Like that Poles beat you posted, look up trippie redd type beat on youtube and there's 100s on that level. Pierre is just as generic as those guys too. And every once in awhile you'll find type beat producers that just son everyone else.

this is just as good as pierre and it's some mid level producer. Flipped that old Main Attrakionz too lol

I think someone like London is leagues better than him and Metro is too when he wants to be. RonnyJ isn't incredible but his shyt bangs harder to me and he is at least innovating slightly with those huge distorted 808s. Basically gave XXXTentacion and Ski Mask their original platform, as well as Denzel Curry, Lil Pump, and Smokepurrp.
