People who say the game got boring most likely didn't make it to Iron Mike's camp. First few hours are slow, admittedly, but the game is anything but boring once it hits Act 2. Your criticisms just aren't believable.

I got vary far, in only two days of playing that not it. The game does not hold up well to other zombie games.

Textbook definition of solid. Good game. Not great. Not terrible. Probably the most definitive "7" I played this gen. If theres a sequel, there's potential.

exactly this, the game is Good, nothing more nothing less, definitley worth a play if you can grab it on sale and you like open world, also like you said it layed a lot of ground work for a sequel to be great

The Good

World looks Nice

Deacon starts of as your typical bland/gruff protagonist but turns out to be pretty cool

Some Parts of the story are really good

Riding the bike feels great

Bike & Gun Customisation is dope

Cool Soundtrack

Taking on huge hordes when kitted out with the best guns is real fun


The Bad

Some Parts of the story are also really slow/bland, like a few have said the first couple of hours, and a good amount of main missions in the middle of the game and near the end feel like side fetch quests, so high highs but low lows and really inconsistent. The game story is real long tho so trimming of a good 20% of filler would of benefitted the pacing greatly and not hurt it’s length at all

Supporting characters are dull...Boozer, Sarah

Flashback/pre outbreak Parts are awful

Fail if spotted Sneak/eavesdrop missions

melee combat feels dated

poor blood/gore animations & graphic glitching, like clipping through things ect.

Yes, it does. Only Zombie game it doesn’t hold up to is The Last of Us 2, but no game compares to what it does. I loved Dying Light, but Days is a lot better. RE2:Remake was ruined by Mr. X. Days Gone is great. You’re bugging.

You weren't supposed to be able to chill in a zombie wasteland bro that was the main point lol it’s exactly what gave that game that “constant dread” factor, sorta like Jack in RE7

I personally thought RE2 was a rare example of a near perfect remake so I can’t really fault it

Now that i think about it the shooting is exactly like the last of us, but LOU doesnt have 5022742626 zombies sprinting at you at damn near the same speed so it works in that game. Deacon is sposed to be ex army and he shoots like someone off the street

Also strange how dude has been living in this wasteland as an expert bounty hunter and freaker specialist for a few years and only has a standard 9mm to speak for it, obviously from a gameplay/progression standpoint it makes sense like most games, but still I was

I bought it a while back on psn and played it maybe around 4 hours? Got to the first town, I remember trying to start a generator or something and I fought some random dudes who tried to jump me.

I didn’t really give it a real shot at the time cause I was just busy in general but yall think it’s worth going back to? I wasn’t too into the biker bruh characters, or homie from force unleashed being the main character. Just seemed kind of bland all the way around, no black people, etc.

Is this game worth jumping back into or is it a dub?

Isn't that a staple in Sony games/business to not include black ppl? Is there a Sony game that has black people as main characters? Im talking really black, not the kind of black where you gotta squint or you gotta read the novel that tells you the main character had a half black grandmother
