We AAs unfortunately weren't able to retain rich cultural treasures like that.

Just a visual joke to counter you saying that Surinam retained the most African heritage...picture of LR with Donald "shythole " Trump.

anyway Suriname has a very large diverse Maroon population that has been separate from outside influence for generations, go look it up
the creole languages spoken in Suriname have the least European influence
ThisOverall Haiti....Due to the enslaved Africans being worked to death LITERALLY, there were always ships bringing in more Africans. Was THE richest slave colony because of this complete disregard for human life by the French
Probably Haiti, Cuba and Venezuela but African cultures vary too, tho. My african friends have thought me how to distinguish the various african music to determine where they are from by just listening to the style.
But yeah, even my african friends who have been to Haiti tell me they feel like Haiti is sooo African. WHereas us Haitians dont quite view ourselves as Africans like they do.
+ When you factor in Haitian Racine Music....it's a wrap
The GAWD Azor R.I.P.
If this music. If these drum patterns in this music dont move you....you aint quite Haitian to me
I think this thread was meant for black diaspora who were displaced due to slavery. Not necessarily Africans who migrated to other countries. How come no one is talking about Africans in Europe?
I mean they actually know which country they're from, a lot speak african language(s), travel to the continent, eat the continent's food, listen to the continent's music, follow the continent's politics etc...
