Essential What could make the Salon better?

Like @GoldCoastSaint said I'm here for a pro-black perspective, but one of the reasons I don't make threads here is because I don't feel like people will respond to them. Plus I feel like I'd get annoyed when guys like @SheWantTheD and @Poitier come in when we're talking about the type of guys we're attracted to and being accused of only liking athletes and thugs.

The Salon is fine the way it is. We're just a small group of women so of course it'll be a little dead at times. I think you're doing a good job @Raava. As long as we don't allow the guys to continuously troll around here it'll be fine.

Maybe we can do some show threads like RHOA, LHHATL/NYC/LA, Little Women, etc. Those are usually fun to participate in when the show is live.

I think it's because the stuff we like to talk about are often personal and since this space isn't really secured for only our eyes, there isn't much involvement and since there are very few of us, it's not easy to keep it active as other forums.

This is true. There are lots of things we could chat about that I wouldn't mind sharing with other ladies, but I don't want all of that privy to a bunch of creeper ass creepers. Maybe it can be private for female verified posters? But then again sometimes the guys make good threads here too...

It had tapered off but then we had an influx in the beginning of 2016 of new posters and got the non-regulars coming in. But anybody starting mess will be banned.

I've been thinking and it's not really one thing I can think about it. The forum is generally less populated so once you expect that a topic may not get as many or frequent replies then you're good. I think the content is fine. I could do a better job of participating though.

• Re-add groups
• Put your PM's on private so you won't be harassed which in turn would make you guys feel more comfortable

I agree. I really can't think of anything generally wrong beside lack of participation lol. Maybe we need more drama
