The Original Rec Room Gang
Warren Moon - dominated before the NFL was pass happy
Randall Cunningham - the first dynamic running QB
Donovan McNabb - Maybe coaches give him some wrs (outside of TO) in his prime
Steve McNair - NFL's new emphasis on protecting the QB. Out of Jeff Fisher's 70s offense.
Daunte Culpepper - Can you imagine him in the Chiefs offense?
Michael Vick - Forward thinking coaches that actually adjust to his skill set

If you could only pick one?
Charlie Ward, kyler Murray wouldn't have been drafted if he graduated back then. He never got a chance to prove himself :to:

Randall Cunningham the year before his knee imploded:

1990 season:

3466 pass yards
30 TD
13 INT
58.4% (271/465)

942 rush yards
8.0 YPC :wow: almost 1,000 yards on 118 fukking carries
5 rushing TDs
9 Fumbles

Led a top five offense in the NFL and was by far the most dangerous runner in the best rushing offense in the league. With an offensive line that allowed him to get sacked 49 times.

Healthy Randall Cunningham is up there with any quarterback in terms of talent. Hell even the Vikings O-line when he was like 35 was pretty good and he shredded the league from the pocket that year.

In this whole thread only one person mentioned the first black qb to win the Heisman??? Smh

This man’s whole career would’ve played out differently. Hate to say it but dude probably would’ve never ended up signing to Houston if he came out nowadays.

I’ll give y’all another answer, Vida Blue. Dude signed with UH to play football with the expectation that he’d be the first black quarterback to play “major college football” in the sate of Texas. His father died and he ended up going pro in baseball and the rest is history. I remember one time seeing his high school stats, which were gaudy for that time period but I couldn’t find them just now.
Yea like how the Rams were willing to adjust for Goff teams would have adjusted for Ware. Career would have been different.

They would have won a Super Bowl the year he tore his knee.

I still get upset about the missed kick for the Vikings costing him a chance to play in the Super Bowl in 98 as well.

Bringing this thread back to life lmao!

Warren Moon would throw for 6,000 yards in today's game.

Randall would be like Mahomes but more athletic and not quite as much of a passing magician.

Vick would be a better version of Lamar

McNabb would be Dak (when Dak is having a good day). Big, durable guys that can torch a defense but will also miss some random throws.

McNair....not sure there's a good comp for him. Something like Dak physically but more like Aaron Rodgers + Russell Wilson combo. Dude would have none of the injuries he used to play with. Y'all remember the pre-game show back in the day. "Steve McNair - a ruptured spleen, two broken legs, a broken arm and a cracked spine......he will be active for today's game :russ:" Breh shoulda had a 99 or 100 Toughness rating in Madden. That dude would have been a heavyweight champ if he'd been born 30 to 40 years earlier than he was.

Jeff Blake/Kordell Stewart/Tony Banks/Aaron Brooks/Anthony Wright etc., not sure. Probably great back-ups to decent starters depending on the situation they're in.
