pre-9/11 NYC and pre-9/11 America in general. not having airport style security everywhere, not having everyone on edge all the time, the "us versus them" jingoistic bullshyt wasnt as loud as it is now. the whole culture and lifestyle was different. shyt was way easier. everything feels like a big event now. i remember how crazy it was that people were lining up for SB dunks in 2004 and shyt. now thats every week with brands building their whole business model on "forced scarcity"... things today feel much more contrived and lame. like a flower growing off of being fed other flowers, instead of growing off of water and light. THAT sums up the "culture" today for me

i liked how exciting new technology was back then too. today it kinda feels like whatever, okay..we have everything we could really need. at this point they're just basically creating problems we never even had to sell us some high tech "smart" solution.

back then..the possibilities of things back then were :whew: also the internet itself wasnt gentrified like it is now and wasnt totally centralized around half a dozen sites from giant conglomerates who have snaked their way into literally everyones lifes. shyt was like the wild west and you felt like you were "logging on" to a whole other world :whew:

:wow::wow::wow:

me too as well. was just reminicing about this because I think it was 15 years ago today when me and my ex from back then got started. we went through hell after a while, but that summer (2003) was the GOAT. nothing like those first couple months of a relationship:blessed: but then once you really start to get to know eachother :hubie:

blackout of 2003 was one of the best days of my life. def a top 5 :jawalrus:
