Spike was robbed. "Malcolm X" should of won Best Picture as well as "Do The Right Thing" but God Forbid a Black Man win Best Picture and Director.

denzel deserved that oscar that shyt was a disgrace. unforgiven is a good movie but clint just played an older version of the nameless cowboy. shyt was not best actor material.

Take the whole "Avatar" vs "The Hurt Locker". I'm fine with ol girl winning cause it was sad that a woman Director hasn't won an Oscar (A Black Director still has never won Best Director) but "Avatar" was the better film clearly but again if you listen to the Academy, Sci-Fi just isn't Best Picture Quality.

Everybody in the world knew it would be "Avatar" vs "The Hurt Locker" but lets not kid ourselves there were at least 3 movies that should have won before they did. Everything in Avatar except the CGI was ok at best, it wasn't even the best Sci-Fi movie that year

Also, a lot of survivors of D-Day who saw it described it as a very authentic description.

Also, that knife scene might be the most tense and suspenseful moment I have ever witnessed on film.

The acting is fantastic, script is great, ending has a lesson, authentic military depictions, demonstrates what war does to the human psyche.

It's a classic film.

but slumdog won the best picture

since 2010 i havent heard anybody mention slumdog at all

bought it on dvd when it dropped because I didn't see it at the theater but watched 10 min of it, took it out the dvd player and haven't attempted to watch it to this day
