Nash v Sid in a Powerbomb match in WCW

Nash had his back worked on through out the match...someone came down to distract the ref but before the distraction the ref saw Nash setting Sid up for the Jacknife

Nash attempts to lift him up while the ref is dealing with the distraction but his back gives out and him and Sid all over. Nash gets up first, turns the ref around and tells him he did the Powerbomb, the ref asks him again...Nash says yes, Ref rings the bell...Nash wins.

This was talked about on the Bruce Prichard podcast:

The Dudley Boyz threatened to pull tha lever and pour concrete on Paul Bearer if Taker lost da match to them.

Taker goes on to beat the Dudley’s, then goes to pull the lever himself even though he won da match.


Bruce said Vince’s reasoning behind it was “If Taker was willing to kill Paul Bearer, think about what he’d do to his opponent/enemy.”

Ahhhh Great American Bash 04. I was in the crowd that night and that finish had everyone

I took it as Taker didn't wanna be controlled by the urn and Paul Bearer anymore

Side note, I saw Eddie lose the strap that night. Man behind me was the only Jibble fan in our section talking shyt to everyone around him during the match. Me and my friends wanted him to pull up after the show we were that heated. I was only 10 at the time
