Looking for recommendations for good historical podcasts that cover important eras/events in history... and also are thorough with their research and references if possible.

Daps and reps on deck.

Blowback Podcast, it's about American foreign policy/involvement in other countries and it's consequences. First season is about Iraq, season two is Cuba and season three Korea.

It's really well produced, they play clips from the time it was taking place, interview historians and people that lived through it.

Not a podcast, but there are lots of lecture by Yale’s Timothy Snyder that are worthwhile, and timely.

Why you looking for podcasts on YouTube when there's plenty of good historical video content on there? :what:

My personal fave historical YouTube channel is OverSimplified. However, it's definitely not a podcast.

An actual history podcast I fw heavy is Revolutions by Mike Duncan.

Not his actual channel. I don't even think he has one. But he does have his podcast episodes up on Apple Podcasts and probably Spotify too.
