What are some good Concept albums?

A Prince among thieves takes the crown imo. A lot of albums posted aren't concept albums tbh.

Ready to Die wasn't a concept album hahaha. And neither are a lot of other posted. A concept album is like a movie in which each song tells a story that coincides with the previous and following.

no they are not solely about telling a story. its mainly about the theme of a album that makes it a concept album, you can have a concept album without telling a cohesive story throughout every song.

It all depends on the def I guess, you can make it large enough to include the Bobby Digital albums, early Busta Rhymes albums with the whole "End of the world" "concept", all KIllarmy albums (army "concept"), all Gravediggaz albums, etc. I mean one could argue Wu-Tang albums per se are "concept" albums since the Kung-Fu theme is all over them.

concept albums are based on a concept, not on a story. most albums are a collection of songs loosely held together by genre and style. a concept album needs a bit more pretense to what is happening throughout. that can be as simple as taking on a fake persona, talking about a subject, or telling a cohesive story, but it is not exclusively defined by telling a story. that is why people are not sticking to that in the suggestions.
