Also just dropped one myself :jawalrus: The concept is about the galactic lengths a Black man in America will go to free himself, even if it means leaving behind the world he knows. It also deals with the ambition of being a star and what all comes with that.

Ready to Die wasn't a concept album hahaha. And neither are a lot of other posted. A concept album is like a movie in which each song tells a story that coincides with the previous and following.

it doesn’t always have to be a straight up story told over a number of tracks like A Prince Among Thieves or GKMC. Sometimes it’s the creation of another character for the MC to rhyme as, sometimes it’s a loose story based on one topic or a group of things the artist wants to say. I wouldn’t say Ready To Die is a concept album but you could put OB4CL in there because of the overall Mafioso theme throughout the album, Tae had everyone including guests artists take new aliases and the overall album has a definite theme.

i love Jeru and I don't care about his beef with Primo. If I cared about the beef, I wouldn't have have bought his album. There was no youtube back then so you had to buy the album or go to a store that allowed you to listen to it fist. You don't go from The wrath of the Math to those type of beats. Truthfully, those beats were worse than Canibus' debut and he had some bangers on it, but everyone swears the beats were wack. There aint a beat on Jeru's 3rd album as good as "get retaded". Group home's 2nd album is better than this

hold up, you think the Wrath of the Math is overrated, but Heroz for Hire is dope?? Is this a joke? Or did you have production on Heroz for hire? It's one of the 2.

Ready to Die was about a baby being born into madness, growing up to do dirt, then killing himself over all the things he did and went through (Suicidal Thoughts). It's the GOAT concept rap album.

some of these albums yall listing are not telling a "complete story" which is what the OP wants

theres a difference between having a narrative . And having a full on story told cohesively and seamlessly in the album.
