God damn this orb episode :damn: :picard::damn::huhldup::damn:

This show just doesn't miss. The fantastic direction really adds on to the voice acting with some S+ tier writing to add on top of it. God I can't wait till the next episode :ohlawd:

Nowak torturing Oczy was difficult to watch. Though, Badeni immediately confessed when Nowak was going for Oczy's eyes, speaks on two levels. The first, Badeni can empathize the feeling of losing his eyesight. Also, Oczy's eyes are a gift and if he is going to die, let him at least keep that.

Man, I love the character development for both Badeni and Oczy. For Badeni wanting to carry over his work was big, but for him to confess to save Oczy is something we haven't seen from him before. In his time with Oczy we have seen Badeni grow more human. For Oczy even in the face of death, he looks at the stars and mentions he is going to heaven. Considering how Oczy started out for him to such big conviction as he meets his end is so spectacular to see.

I love the callback to Rafal. We know how much that kid's final words spoke to Nowak. To see someone like die for what he believes in. I loved the line of only a 12-year-old would dare to move the world. It basically emphasizes that the older you are, it is easy to fall in the trap of thinking what's the point, nothing is going to change. I am a little confused how Oczy's notebook can spark that change if it was burned. Unless there is something I am missing.

I did not expect we're jumping to a Jolenta torture scene so soon. At the end of the day, interacting with a heretic is enough that can arrest you. Though, the fact that Antony can create a false conclusion just because Jolenta is a woman is sickening.

I give credit to the young kid for sticking to what he believes in. As we have seen, Oczy in the previous two episodes for believing in his own faith. So too does this young man. In his heart, he knew that accusing Jolenta was wrong. I got a bad feeling about him surviving, but I wonder where Jolenta goes next.

blue lock put the budget where it mattered :wow:

Imagine what this season could have been :mjcry:

It's insane to me, Japanese fandom has more of an issue with how Sakamoto Days (it def has concerns) is looking compared to Blue Lock. They're just eating up Blue Lock and S3 of Blue Lock (obviously will come eventually) going to have the same shyt as S2. One last episode being a banger and the others looking just sad.

JJK might have the worst collection of heroes I've seen in a shounen. Not really connecting with any of the main characters

The Mahito arc is good but so far the show hasn't hooked me yet. I'll watch the entire first season before I decide if I should drop it
Season 2:ohhh:

Watching episode 2 of my rewatch of Ishura

The first bit was the introduction of Taren the Guarded, who declared independence for a city and named it the New Principality of Lithia. It does seem that this city is broken off from Aureatia mentions is the only kingdom left supposedly. Aureatia is ruled by 29 officials and given by the conversation between the gentlemen and the mention of assassinations, it is safe to say that their target of assassination is Taren.

Along Lana the Moon Tempest, we see her talking to Higuare the Pelgaic and Shalk the Sound Slicer. Hard to tell if they have allegiance with Taren, but there appears to be an interest.

The rest of the episode focused on Alus the Star Runner and Harghent the Still. As Harghent was insisted on taking down Vikeon the Smoldering. Though, his attempts come up useless as he is about to be defeated. Though, Alus comes in clutch and kills Vikeon. Alus talks about Harghent like he is a friend. So I am curious what is the history of his relationship. Perhaps Harghent wanted to prove himself for once and not rely on Alus. It is clear that the treasure and weapons that Alus possess are quite deadly. Also, quite curious why Alus is at the spot after the events of episode 1.

One episode left of Dungeon Meshi :mjcry: this took me by total surprise. I didn't expect this to be this well-written, heartwarming, funny yet dark AT ALL.

So they do make anime this high-level huh :wow: if yall know anything this compelling and fun :feedme:

  • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
  • The Apothecary Diaries
  • Golden Kamuy
  • The Case Study of Vanitas
  • Undead Murder Farce
  • Monogatari
Tbh hard to get Compelling plus fun.
  • Frieren + Apothecary Diaries excells at both like Dungeon Meshi
  • Golden Kamuy & Vanitas is high tier fukkery, but when the story is serious, it's great as well.
  • Undead Muder Farce has top-tier banter, and each episode had me rolling with the main trio :russ:. The main story with each of the cases was outstanding with great writing.
  • Monogatari can be an anime that you will love, as IMO it does hit the compelling and fun traits. Or you will want nothing to do with it after 5 episodes or so. Though, you can tell early on in Bakemonogatari if you vibe with this series or not. The series has ALOT to chew on if you really want to sink your teeth in it.
