  • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
  • The Apothecary Diaries
  • Golden Kamuy
  • The Case Study of Vanitas
  • Undead Murder Farce
  • Monogatari
Tbh hard to get Compelling plus fun.
  • Frieren + Apothecary Diaries excells at both like Dungeon Meshi
  • Golden Kamuy & Vanitas is high tier fukkery, but when the story is serious, it's great as well.
  • Undead Muder Farce has top-tier banter, and each episode had me rolling with the main trio :russ:. The main story with each of the cases was outstanding with great writing.
  • Monogatari can be an anime that you will love, as IMO it does hit the compelling and fun traits. Or you will want nothing to do with it after 5 episodes or so. Though, you can tell early on in Bakemonogatari if you vibe with this series or not. The series has ALOT to chew on if you really want to sink your teeth in it.
Repped and bookmarked :salute:thank you so much. I'll check those out

I know most of the season for blue lock was mid due to animation. I am in awe with the quality of the final episode because I wasn't expecting that to be well done. I think they need to figure out scheduling for next season because the finale showed the potential of this show

So this episode for SLF adapted chapters 86-88 and the last few moments adapted the end of chapter 85 and the beginning of chapter 89. Regarding the episode.

One fascinating thing compared to the Wethermond fight is that with the Wethermond they had a mountain of preparations they had for it. Both before and during their fight. While here, they encountered Lycagon. This kind of fight really shows Sunraku's adaptation skills much better IMO. Though, if he didn't have Inventoria, he would be screwed. Also, I love how he ranted in their like someone a gamer would react after getting killed and receiving the game over screen. :russ:

Rei holds the key to this fight. Sunraku has to both be DPS and Dodge tank, so Rei has the time to pull off her ultimate attack. Furthermore, it looks like in the end, Sunraku will get some help.

Blue Lock S2 did a great job with Rin being able to one-up his brother for once in his life, and for Isagi to get a taste of what he always wanted in his career; the glory of winning a big game.

Yet, force some reason... I just want one of these cocky guys to at one point have a Mortal Kombat-style X-Ray shot of the tendons in the knee rupturing.

Then with a red dislocation on the knee, they look up and be like :mjcry: "Its- Its over. Im done, the knee."

Sports are mostly uplifting and positive, but taking out a main character with a career-ending injury, to provide no closure to a rivalry... that would up a series in my view.

It takes balls to do that. Since they can divide a fan base and especially if it's a fan favorite, you know heads would roll. But I do agree it's a nature in sports you don't see too often in anime.

Although in Mix S2 with the Dad dying was a giant gut punch. It really puts into perspective how things can change so fast. Not quite like your example, but it would give the series a realistic view on sports.
