It was interesting as Nene wondered if this is what Hanako really wants and how to solve Nene's limited lifespan problem. As Kou mentions, this fake world isn't what Mitsuba's wished, but he thought, well, I might as well take it as it is most likely the best option. Hanako had the same realism mindset when figuring out how to help Nene. The irony is that he would have put Nene in a similar position he is now. It really took Nene saying what her desires were for him to realize all of this.
Akari Kitou killed it with this episode. I love how well she portrays Nene's silly moments. Her performance of Nene wanting to live really struck home. It is incredibly sad to think that Nene has so much in her life that she aims to do, and we don't know if she will be able to do it. At least Hanako is determined to make that wish come true.
On the other spectrum, despite the moon being the emergency exit, Hanako doesn't go with the gang. As he states, wishes that didn't come true when you are alive can't come true when you are alive. More so hints at what his wish was.
As Nene she gets a final conversation with Mei before she takes her Yorishiro. While Mei's purpose is gone with Mei inevitably dying, I love that she wants to support Nene's wish to live. Her logic of going after the Clock Keepers is very logical as they are the School Mystery that governs time. Though Nene talking about the world that Mei created and how beautiful that is. I can't imagine there is a better feeling as an artist and hearing those words.
