I heard from manga readers the competition is still going on in the manga. That actually has me even more excited though still will wait because this series is an experience an anime would enhance 1000% more then manga just based on voice acting and cinematography.It felt to me like the finale was teasing an OVA or movie with the competition arc

"From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated!" finished today and it def feels like one of the best isekai comedies I have seen. Very close to Konosuba level though it does so much so through dad jokes and otome series references. Easily the best Otome Series comedy with that being said. It is also is a very heartwarming series that is worth a shot. Plus the stuff with Grace and her mom does intrigue me how it proceeds forward. Prob will read the manga if I get the chance to.

As episode 2 of Shoshimin gave a bit of introspective on Kobato's past. Here we got build up for Osanai. For the most part, it's been more mundane SoL stuff. Though ever since her tarts were crushed, things were just adding up more and more. As given by the title for Osanai as she has tried to be ordinary and while we don't know why she seeks it, all the things unfortunate things keep happening to her. The anime really executes well is showcasing how pissed off she is. It gives the impression that Osanai had some form of anger issues perhaps? This is a common thing for wanting to change or in this case to become ordinary.
Now the switch focuses back on Kobato, which episode 2 elaborated on how he would get involved in other people's business. Though his frustration as he asks Kengo for help because he wants to help Osanai since she is putting herself in danger. It's clear people were against him for solving their problems when he didn't ask. We see a lot of anime that were influenced by Monogatari where the Mc solves the problems of others. With Kobato we see a case where people don't want others to solve it for them. Clearly he is trying to change that behavior, but the situation with Osanai puts him at a crossroad because Osanai is a dear friend.
At the end of the episode, Kengo pushes Kobato to act like him old self. No surprise Kengo prefers the know-it-all Kobato rather than the nice and proper one. He might have been an a$$hole, but he was being true to himself. On another Kengo's reaction to Kobato's comments of Osanai planning to get revenge, because like us, we find it difficult to believe Osanai can do much by herself.

"Fairly large frog" was foul
The final reveal wasn't really a reveal considering all the things that have been implied and the real story behind the official/secret story of Jinshi's identity. But it's a sign that things will start moving towards a new direction so I'm glad it happened.

Honestly, it is what makes it a good mystery series. As the audience can figure it out along the way. It also makes a rewatch interesting because not it allows you to look at things in a different light.MaoMao fukked around and was about to find out. Jinshi was tired of the slander

I imagine it will start to get more political, which really has me intrigued. Honestly, the two most interesting characters being Gaoshun & Shisui. With the anime only theory I have is that Shisui is Loulan

Alright, the whole majority of this episode was comedic gold. The possibility what the sisters came and could be the one that brought those guns is an intriguing possibility. I am curious who is specifically out to get Jinshi.
Gaoshun in these last few episodes is turning into one of the more interesting characters. With that being said, what happened where he angered the Empress I wonder? Still hearing him call Maomao was a bit surprising, but it makes sense with everything that has been happening in these past few episodes.
As he mentioned, Jinishi can't be in his current position forever. Though who are they referring to as the one locked away in his room. My only guess is: They believe Kousen is locked away when that isn't the case when he is acting as Jinshi. It's amusing as Gaoshun name-drops Jinshi as the Moon Prince he is having some interesting banter with Maomao.
Though this aligns with what Maomao was describing as unable to get a handle on other emotions. She was basically ignored until her sisters were freed up from work. Honestly, working with Gyokuyou may really serve to help her grow regarding that. Since before coming to the palace, Maomao was pretty isolated all things considered.
