SLF S2 Episode 21 adapt3ed chapters 111-113.

So basically, they are playing their version of Marvel vs Capcom. Though this being in the SLF engine does give Sunraku and Towa a big advantage. Plus we have seen how well Sunraku can adapt like he has in SLF, so that will be interesting.

Though the overworld is insane when you think of a typical fighting game. Seeing this arc being animated has me really excited.

This episode adapted chapters 46-48. Adapted very well, and I love how they have both Nene and Kou at the same time saying, "I will get you out of here".

I've to give props to Nene. With everything that she has learned, to have the determination to tell Amane not only she likes Hanako, but to say let's run to the real world was great.

Meanwhile, there are two ends to the Mitsuba and Kou part of the episode. The first is Mitsuba which we learn know he can see the memories of the school. Despite being the fake Mitsuba he knows who the real Mitsuba was. Though if we think of them as two different people. Mitsuba's life as we know was not pleasant, but according to the fake Mitsuba, he has his wish, to be human. So you can understand why he is fine with being human in this fake world because Mitsuba is already dead. Which Hanako has pointed out the supernatural, like the fake Mitsuba can't be human when he turned into School Mystery #3. So you can understand why this fake world is ok for him.

Of course for Kou he doesn't want fake happiness. Theoretically if the world is fake, then are the feelings you feel fake as well? There wasn't much doubt Kou's mind wouldn't change, but it's more so convincing Mitsuba. Though the extra mile Kou is willing to go for Mitsuba is very interesting. They have a fun dynamic, but is it as well for him feeling guilty for never noticing Mitsuba and what Tsukasa did to him?

I love the counterpoints these two makes. If we recall, Mitsuba wishes to be human, not be act like the human Mitsuba. Kou is on the money, but Mitsuba is right that Kou doesn't understand his position because he is fully alive. Kou does put his money where his mouth is and mentions of him dying to fully understand Mitsuba's POV. Of course, Mitsuba doesn't want that and saves Kou. Now that was bold, and I wonder if Kou realized he would have actually died, or he would only be dead in the fake world. At the very least, he was able to convince Mitsuba.

Still amazed Engi is adapting the series as well as it has so far. For Inori she delivered a great performance but with two realities hitting her.

  • The first being the limits Inori and understanding injuries. As they mention shin splits Even though it is reality for her to want to catch up to Hikaru and the others given she started later. Though pushing too far can result in major injuries which can set her back even more. That's assuming she were able to recover from them. As this is also something Tsukasa is learning to do as a coach. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
  • The other is that there are skaters other than Hikaru. Emma, for instance, beat her and while Inori barely was able to execute her program, Emma was able to execute her program without a slight error.
Fantastic episode that has finished covering volume 3.

@42 Monks @LordDeathwatch

Came back from seeing the early screening for Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. Unlike WfM this is not standalone. Basically, an alternate UC where Zeon won the One Year War instead of the Earth Federation. It was a good amount to digest, but even while watching it in theaters I was able to get the gist of it. Which is what assume is what episode 1. I am wondering if the first episode will be 2 episodes.

The rest slowly get the introduction of the Mc Machu and basically, she accidentally finds a gundam. There is a good number of mysteries unfolding, and it was me curious. Honestly if I compared 3 episodes of this vs 3 episodes of WfM, I am more excited about this. Granted, there might be things I will miss having not watched UC, so if these main components of this story are good, I will come back to it again for a rewatch.
