I started watching Freiren and I don't get the hype at all. This is the most overrated anime I've seen in a long time. How is almost every character in this show so bland?

I think this is one of those animes where nikkas just need to say what exact episode it is where this shyt just turns up or gets better.

Kinda like how Black Clover was back in the day. Some cats felt it was mid until it reached a certain point (when they start fighting in the caves and Lict is introduced) From there you kinda saw its true potential and knew if you'd still wanna keep watching it every week or drop it.

I'm not sure you can pinpoint that with Frieren tbh. I think its big appeal is the setting, pacing and the flawless harmony its shows limited action, character development and lore. I don't think there's a point the series "changes your mind" like with HxH or other series were the first/second arc are its lowest and then it takes a big jump in quality.

Ya I ended up binging the series shyt was for me and adaption so far looks like I may not have to worry now I’m current with the sequel to this also and that is really good too surprisingly
