Rewatching RoK cuz I still haven't seen anything that well written since :wow: how it makes you rock with almost every character by the end of s1 somehow is some masterclass shyt

I need season 2 of that and Blue Lock expeditiously :ohlawd: we're overdue for one of those magical anime seasons where every day is piff

Yea all the initial hype I saw around this show was "it's like TR but they not p*ssy and throw hands"

I refuse to hate watch shows tho so imma just drop it if they do it again.

I REALLY don't care for any show that tries to put a Mr. Morale in the middle of violence and convert everyone, shyt is always too telegraphed and we get shytty flashbacks constantly, there are so many other genres you can do that with, stop ruining good action premises with that plot structure, it's a one-way ticket to Mid tier

As pure hearted as Goku was he wanted smoke 24/7 and he's tryna scrap until either you or him can't move anymore  that's how you do a good action anime without going overboard. He never was tryna kill anyone, nikkas just ended up that way if they didn't know how to chill

We could do a whole list of shows that would immediately jump to top tier if you cut out the crying mid-fight segments

MHA might be at the top of that list tbh  @Bryan Danielson

MHA needs to pick up man……

I crowned this show years ago but they plateaued

Blue Lock airs in October. And the Nagi movie comes out in theaters outside of Japan at the end of June.

You gotta eat when you watch it bruv. It hit different once that happens.
This and Bartender are both shows that have this relaxing feel to them. One with food and the other with drinks. Added benefit to how well written both shows are. The creativity in both of these shows is outstanding imo.

@Pete Wrigley Meshi isn't a show that will give this big plot point to hook you in. It provides a a great SoL Fantasy Comedy with food and excels with top-notch world building. Slowly builds itself in this big adventure. How the author crafts this series with food, the dungeon and the main cast is excellent. The characterization is top-notch. Trigger does a phenomenal job when action does happen.

With that being said if you can't vibe to the first half of the season, the series just ain't for you.

Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night

Yeah, one thing we have to make clear is that Kano's mom is awful. She actively ruined other people's careers and when her own daughter hit her low point she threw her away. The way she said, "Will you sing for my sake?" Didn't sound like someone asking their daughter to share her dream. Will you sing for my dream? Tbh she probably looked at Kano as a tool she can use.

Kano's state of mind is fukking clear. You found out that your group and more specifically your mother is ruining other group's careers. How would you react. Tbh in that situation optimally she could have ruined her mother, but Kano's mind was fukked and just getting out of it was a miracle in itself. Given how her mom talked about her dad and her older sister has no contact with her mother, I bet they knew that the woman was rotten.

Now Kano is absolutely in the wrong at the end. All those negative emotions pile up and they make sense. But to take it out on Mahiru was the worst thing she could have done. Mahiru does not know of Kano's past with her mom and her former group. She doesn't know how rotten Kano's mom is. She genuinely wants to get better as an artist. At this point this is something they need to calm down and have a proper discussion, but that is very tough since Kano ridiculed Mahiru's art and her passion for it.
