Just finished Soul Eater and man was that a horrible and ass ending. That’s all I’ll say about that.

The show before they stopped following the manga was lit.

That being said, Fire Force is better as a whole.

The thing that I liked more about Soul Eater was the world and environment. That shyt grabbed my attention more than Fire Force tbh.

I think Fire Force could have used better locations in the show.

I remember they had something that looked like the northern lights for like 2 episodes. They should have kept that shyt.

One lit location in FF was where Waka and Joker were fighting towards the end of the second season.

Back to SE, I thought Kid was a great character, way better than I thought, I thought he was gonna be some cocky a$$hole who thought he was better than everyone, but he’s cool as shyt.

Black Star was cool.

Maka, I liked her, but she was way too bratty at times, even though that was her character.

What pissed me off was when they barely used the Breh!! I don’t even remember his name and his powers looked OD WTF!!

They made him seem like he was somewhat important, but didn’t really do anything.

I’ll probably have to read the manga because where they changed the story up really shows.

@LordDeathwatch

I think you said you were gonna discuss about both shows after I finished SE?

I saw a clip for Call of the Night dub. I think it’s one of those rare occasions where I actually like the sub better.

Gotta watch the episode to really see.

Yeah, I think I said it in the "Rate This Anime" series: Soul Eater had potential to be one of those "once in a generation" type series that would still get talked about til this day, but they fumbled it during the last 1/3

Yeah then the whole Read vs Watch 20 paragraph deep debate broke out, but yeah it was basically a conclusion I see you've reached like most viewers. They hit the final stretch where they had to do their own thing, like GoT, and they just completely threw everything that made it what it was out the window. It's so jarring that it doesn't feel like the same series, the source material maintained the tone and had greater fluidity. It's still not a flawless ending arc but it makes so much more sense.

Funny how you mentioned his later work with Fire Force because they actually incorporated Soul Eater mythos and world into it near the end. Can't give you details but if the anime remains faithful, I think you'll appreciate the nod.

Yeah I knew about the Soul Eater,
Fire Force connection from when I seen the moon and other things I saw.

I forgot to mention that Soul Eater did have a better focus on the main cast and that Medusa was a great villain as well.

The final villain was barely even in the show. That made no sense to me.

The ending of Soul Eater was such a let down. They could have found a way to make it a lot better than it was.

One of anime’s greatest disappointments.

I watched all of the Black Butler anime on Hulu. It was 2 seasons long and most of it was filler. For season 1, I give it a 8 out of 10. Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian are a good duo. There were a few episodes where its uninteresting, but the last 3 episodes of season 1 had me wanting to see what happens next.

Season 2 gets a 7 out of 10. They introduce this new character Alois Trancy and his butler Claude. I hate Alois Trancy. The kid is a major ass and his backstory still make me not care for him or gain sympathy. Claude is a boring butler and doesn't have the charisma of Sebastian. And season 2 does a slow, complex buildup to explaining the events of season 1.

Overall, I give the anime a 8/10 as a whole. The manga is still going on, so I'm going to read the entire manga up to current events.

I wish Netflix released JoJo episodes Weekly cause now I have nothing to watch :francis: .

Kingdom about to end too :sadcam:
If you want to watch weekly episodes there's nothing that says you have to binge Netflix content. Plenty of people wait till the full season is out of other shows on different services then binge shows that were released weekly so the opposite is always an option.
