After being subject to the last few years of bullshyt I can't really pick on the pacing in a lot of these older shows 
What I liked a lot about Chimera Ant arc was the suspense. shyt felt like AOT for a minute.
Maybe the creator was so bored with the story and low amount of fighting, he said fukk it, imma fukk this whole shyt up.
The beginning of that arc was really something else.
YYH still better though. The OVA with Hiei and Kurama was so lit, they could have made that a mini series.

Dark Tournament was literally the same amount of episodes though.
We'll agree to disagree. I personally never felt there was pacing issues or that Chimera Arc dragged because each episode actually built upon the last and contributed to the story imo.
Plus, Togashi wrote two GOATs and I'm not gonna try and compare the two. The real pacing issues are 2 of the Big 3 tho and I need smoke for them
I never watched YYH's anime
But I didn't necessarily mean it in a bad way, it's just relative to HXH it felt like a series within a series to me, I had to be patient which I can't do
I was waiting to see Adult Gon and Meruem fight someone because Pitou was clearly light work and Pitou did Kite dirty so I figured Meruem is like that or Kite was soft. Meruem is like that

One more thing. The main cast in HXH is not fukkin with the main cast of YYH. From fighting to drip, etc.

I always consider myself biased because YYH is one of my first anime/manga that I completed both. But I'd say my one major complaint is how much of a tease that 3 Kings saga wound up being. YYH is finished, but I really wish we got that massive tournament to close out...especially becase the Dark Tournament is an all-time great arc in my book.
I like YYH over HxH but I think it's really close (HxH got the GOAT power system imo).
Agreed & it's ridiculously close.
There's a reason this comparison has been beat to death across every platform where anime and manga are discussed for well over a decade. HxH has a better power system & world building but YYH has better group dynamics and more likeable characters, at least in the main cast. Togashi really emphasized that Yusuke's squad is a team, in nearly every meaningful moment they're apart of a unit. With HxH, the closest you ever get is Gon and Killua on a regular basis, even then they're always their own thing. So you end up with two different approaches to character development and I can't give the edge to either one.
At the end of the day, to even have this type of contention is proof he made 2 all time greats. Definitely a GOAT.

Started playing Tales of Arise. I noticed Zephyr's (one of the first characters that appears) voice sounds very familiar.
Then it hit me, his voice is Dante from Blacc Clover
This show has to be #noreadgang's biggest L. The anime ended in the MIDDLE of the Dark Triad arc
There's 0 explanation coming for what power Zenon used on Yuno. Zenon one and done'd the Golden Dawn since we don't see any rematch. We have 0 idea wtf was supposed to be next with Zanica running away.
They invented a whole power scaling system of demon classifications the triad want to unleash with the last level basically being a game over and NONE of it matters since we never saw any of it actually happen.
From how the manga readers are talking, apparently it gets LIT too. There's supposed to be a plot twist/development that's a callback to the one scene where they mention a huge devil energy radiating from within the kingdom and we anime watchers have no idea what it's supposed to mean.
