Lmao I was some talkin shyt about HXH until they got to YorkNew City, then some more after that.



I really think the Hunter Exam was boring as shyt compared to the rest of the show.

Definitely not better than YYH.

Facts and I enjoyed the Hunter exam part just off the adventure vibe, but yeah its definitely the weakest part of the series. During that same time in YYH them nikkas were already solving shyt and fighting spirit beasts in castles etc....

I also look at it like this too....For as good as the Chimera Arc is talked about, most still say it drags on too long or that they didn't like how certain moments played out or etc....

You never really hear any complaints from the Sensui arc or any arc from YYH. Nobody even has to tell you to stick with it either because it starts of slow (like how you gotta tell cats to be patient with HXH)

Chapter Black & The 3 Kings arcs both had pacing issues but it's not a huge deterrent to enjoying the series. I'd put YYH over HxH purely based on the fact that YYH is finished.

Chapter Black & The 3 Kings arcs both had pacing issues but it's not a huge deterrent to enjoying the series. I'd put YYH over HxH purely based on the fact that YYH is finished.

YYH probably has the greatest tournament arc of all time too you can put that shyt on right now and it blows most of today's shyt out the water. Its basically perfect.

The animation in YYH stays underrated too

The part when the villain had a disguise on. I was like WTF!! Unless I missed something, that part was pretty bull.

Whitesnake can cause illusions, though that was the first time he used it in that way. Remember in Part 1 when Jolyne and Jotaro were in that dream state

It wasn't explained though so I can see why you would be confused, I read the manga already and even I forgot he could do that

Twan was born on demon time.

But yeah, it definitely drags in some of those episodes for those 2 arcs but it's not overly egregious. The overall quality of the series just affords it a level of cushion, which is earned. If it were a lesser property, it'd weigh more heavily.

@42 Monks Too lazy to go back and multi quote but the Dark Tournament was GOAT because of the tension in the build up to the finals. You have to master every element for a Tournament to click on that level, everything from pacing to power system to character progression. He was definitely in his bag for this one.

The Makai Tournament at the end didn't hit as hard because it had to follow the Dark Tournament, there just was no way he was going to hit that note again.

Honestly this is the first time I'm even hearing about pacing issues in regards to YHH.

and even if the show does have pacing issues, they're not glaringly obvious like HXH, where you could easily trim off some episodes.

I loved the Three Kings/Makai Tournament, but I definitely agree with some of the complaints too - more than anything was the lack of Kuwabara being there.

Its also got the perfect one liner to wrap shyt up. "You know what they say... Can't end a good party without somebody on the floor "
