Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

Just finished the Dr. Stone special and enjoyed it. That Good Morning New World is fire af!!



Also caught up on Call of the Night and ready to watch some more. I’d say this is the first anime in a long time that I have never heard anything about and just started watching off the clips I’ve seen. The intro and outro go hard as well.

Anime has been good so far. I feel young again.

this season has definitely been better than last season

Yeah that slowed down version of Good Morning New World still hit. I fukked with that special.

Call of the Night opening is fire. I prolly relate to that show too damn much. I be staying up all night doing random shyt.

You need to get up on Bucchigire. That shyt is fire with the action, but its getting slept on. The animation style is similar to that Deities anime from last year that was on some Kill la Kill DBZ shyt.

The technology is almost always better. The best shows either have no newtypes, or the powers are implied and don't affect the story that much.

I wouldn't have as much of a problem with Newtypes, Innovators, etc. if there weren't so many of them & in most cases, their powers have next to no tangible drawbacks. They just function as a Get Outta Jail Free card when they are outmatched or outnumbered, it's cheap. Without a cost, the entire conflict loses gravity.

On the flip side, look at Mikazuki. He became a got damn cripple using the AV system because it was the only way to survive. The stakes were real, you felt that not just in the fights but how all the other supporting characters reacted.

Fire Force was crazy my g. It was like one minute comedy, then someone gets they head chopped off, next minute titties all on the screen, then some fighting.

Plus they be having them creepy faces and them eyes.

Fire Force was lit.

I can only imagine how Call of the Night would play out if the setting was in the hood or major city. The fukkery that would produce would be next level.

Me and my homeboy started the year off running from the police like we some young nikkas, cuz we was on some random Call of the Night type shyt at 1am. We just didn't have all the fancy purple lights as a backdrop.

Finished S2 of Golden Kamuy god damn that last episode went hard.
S1 was mostly used as a setup for the world and characters but that episode was a massive payoff
