my theory on Tokyo Revengers, since the season is over, + I been "current" with the manga since before the show started and brehs violating #IlliterateGang bylaws:

Takemitchy is the main bad guy. There may as well be two of him.
There's one who we watch in the show....
there's the OTHER one that we don't see. The one that's active in the 10 years that the Takemitchy we see isn't on screen.
Who's to say that whenever he time jumps, the one he becomes in the past isn't like "
what the fukk is this nikka doing with MY life!?"
Every time he comes back to the present, that's 10 years of fukkery that he could've gotten tinto that's unaccounted for.
Every time he jumps back, he puts more power and influence into the hands of his younger self... who wanted that power and influence. "Our" Takemitchy is the way he is because he never had any of that.
Hell, the biggest crux of the whole series is that he had a chance to save "his" girl, and it spiraled into him saving anyone he cared about
but if he wanted that "perfect" life, all he had to do was stay in the past and build it.
But naaaahhhhh... he keeps putting in all that work..... only to jump back to the present while expecting instant gratification.

Personally for me, Anime of Year: OddTaxi (Jujutsu Kaisen started off in 2020, so I give it that year).
The way how Tokyo Revengers went, I am debating though about that. At no point did I find the season to be boring, the characters are very UNIQUE. Some of the anime that I hate watching, is that you basically have different names and color schemes, but the same design.
TR really has characters that even if you don't remember their names, you know who they are, so its very fleshed out. Also Takemichi is a unique protagonist where basically he sucks at fighting, yet he is the best at eating punches and still standing.
I expect his ass to be saved at the start of Season 2, but dude needs to check himself into the nearest barbershop to get a better hairstyle.

Very bold of them to end the season for Tokyo Revengers on a giant cliffhanger.
Although just based on the sales of the manga alone a season 2 is pretty much guaranteed at some point. Hopefully, they get a bigger budget too.A very fun show that knows how to hit the emotional highs.

Think manga gonna go timeskip soon and what the anime may do is show things during time skip so it can stretch it out away from manga and give it time so when they comeback to source material
nothing implied bout timeskip been rumors may happen close to around December since that’s when majority of manga go on there break but we’ll see nothing has happened to show or imply it yet

After this season if Kingdom isn't in your top 20, I don't respect it. No shyt the only anime this year that gets my blood boiling after every episode. A breh feels like he can go out and conquer the world 
Yeah they're definitely about 4-5 chapters behind. So another 100 eps of filler are coming up

Does Takemichi ever learn to fight?
I'm on episode 8 and it seems that all seems to happen is that there's a big escalation. Takemichi gets his as kicked, there's a big speech, something happens (Mikey beats them up or somebody gets stabbed or something), Michi goes back to present day, something changes, something else happens. Then he goes back again
