It's an alternative route to the same situation. The manga gives a bit more depth into the story, but It doesn't change the core of the story. Which is why I"m going to keep saying, Anno made a good cheatsheet, but story itself is wonky.

I'm just glad its finally over and we can put the nightmare behind us

If anyone is wondering when the weridos came into the US japanamation(RIP) community

it all started with EVA anime cons used to be chill af

then after EVA you had 300lbs white women dressed like Asuka smelling like blue cheese trying to talk to you in fukked up German and the 50 greasy basement dwelling losers trying to get her drunk enough for the hotel anime cosplay gangbang everything bad about the modern anime community started with EVA

OST and art direction aside fukk that show I hope it burns in anime hell

oh and Anno is a troll for that Mari shyt I KNOW them EVA shippers is pissed

True, but it never was as compelling as Odd Taxi so I doubt it matters. I don't think a handful of episodes are gonna save it, but I hope I'm wrong.

for as underwhelming as Wonder Egg's ending was, at least the majority of the show was enjoyable

Spoiler: Vanitas no Carte: Ep 8

Shouldn't be surprised that Vanitas is talking about the queen like that. Although it seems like he actually may be onto something. Altho Lucius not getting enraged was definetly very interesting. Another big reveal was that Lucius is Grand Duke. Although his uncle has really been helping him in that regard.

But as we approach the ending to this episode looks like Noe is kind of screwed. Does Vanitas have another trick or plan up his sleeve perhaps? I feel we will be learning more about Vanitas's backstory very soon.
