Thats because Araki is a horror buff. He wrote a book called Bizzare Horror-movie analysis where he analyzes horror movies and how it influences his work.
you can tell each part has a horror theme.
Part 1: Late Victoria, gothic horror, Part 2: lovecraftian, or cosmic, horror, Part 3: Classic horror, Part 4: Murder mystery, Part 5: body horror, mafia thriller.
I wonder what part 6 is going to be.
