I can see some having that opinion and stance
My friend was telling me to hurry up and watch so we can talk about it and I told her I only saw 1 episode so I decided to finally catch up and it's exactly what what I said it was.
These animes think they can fool me by putting some great animation and fighting scenes into their shows and giving me nothing else.
I'm still watching it but I'm really not impressed
Edit: I'll add in that I think Tower of God is better, but it still wasn't that good. There was many times in ToG that I thought didn't make sense, but I can atleast follow it and it seems like it will eventually get better. I can't even say that about this.

Right now Fire Force is prolly the best at combining a good story and crazy action scenes and animation together, but a lot of nikkas thought it was mid last season and didn't start praising it until the 2nd season came .

Funimation been killing Crunchyroll since their partnership fell through. And they really expected Sony going to buy them for 1 billion
FF wasn't doing well 1st season, we didn't get the meat of the plot. But this season, this is the one.
Yeah it's out, it got simulcasted on Crunchyroll and you can probably find it on 9anime as well.

First season of FF was a lot of setup. Show didn't really start to mesh until the second half of the first season. It has ramped up insanely since then, almost feels like they're throwing out too much plot currently but they are managing it well with the action and characters.
Btw, nobody talking about Haikyuu! returning? The formula of the series is getting kinda predictable but that animation quality and sports hype is serious.
Demon Slayer deserved more hype.

Lot of nikkas is full of shyt tho.
Cats bytched about GOH being nothing but action and no story, but then complained about FF having too much story to get through.

Bottom line, you can't make a good action anime without nikkas picking holes and complaining about it.

I mean, Jojo is action oriented. but it's not the style of action some people prefer to see, so it gets criticized a lot for being too weird.
you really can't make any form of anime in any genre without some people criticizing it. which is fine when we don't all like the same stuff.
