So, Crunchyroll has now adapted two popular webtoons in Tower of God and God of High School. Both are considered disappointments by the readerbase for cutting corners and are rated much lower than the source material (Tower of God 8.6 ----> 7.8, GOHS 8 ------> 7.4). Noblesse is next up.

These webtoons may not have ever been animated if not for CR, so hard to criticize them much. But you can see the potential there if given a more thorough adaptation than 13 rushed episodes.

I don't think they'll give up on making those types of sources work at least. They've got the feedback and criticism aside, the money and views are there.

Don't think Noblesse will the be one, but in 2021-22 when things settle they might finally hit the ground running.

I'm watching the anime like "when did all this happen?" So I'm rereading the manga. That anime fight and manga fight are 2 totally different things. I prefer the manga version. The anime was too DBZ for me.

Flashy and ridiculous being the draw was the vibe I got from the manga too, albeit I dropped both early.

What was better about the manga version?

I think they'll get it right with Solo Leveling. its already greenlit too.

I've been watching battle anime since 1996. I'm a diehard Hokuto no Ken fan. So most of the stuff out bores me to tears.
