They really, really dropped the ball with the Yakuza arc outside of the last big fight's animation. It just feels different in the source material. Its just an entirely different dynamic - and it kinda builds off of what you were expecting. All Might's effectively retired. So these guys going into the building all looking to come up and make a name for themselves but at the same time there is NO backup. People are expected to die. shyt, Nighteye's whole character is the author's way of saying "Some of yal will die and its All Might's fault low key". There was actual tension.

Instead, some nobody aka rock boy gets an unreasonable amount of shine, and more new characters that mean nothing get introduced. The most interesting character in the series right now, Bakugo, is literally babysitting. The only lasting point of the arc was LeMillion and they ruined his impact in the anime. You can't even say the anti-quirk stuff is a big deal because its a mechanic that was presented ages ago.

Now the last of the fans gonna try and hype up the villains when they're even less interesting top to bottom than the main cast

Haven't watched season 4 yet, does Todoroki get any more shine?

2nd Movie was dope though Only issue was that the stakes didn't mean anything since it's not canon to the manga

the movies are their own thing. Not mad at them at all and won't hold them to any standard really the animation in the 2nd one is some of the best in decades. I'm just constantly befuddled as to how MHA of all shows got that kind of a clout day 1 to get such quality animators.

Nailed it. After All Might retired, i was getting concerned that these lil nyggas were simply too young and restricted by law to do anything unless there was a time jump. But the LeMillion stuff showed me that's not even a viable excuse. Creator literally just likes p*ssyfooting around.

Are probably the 3 most important supporting characters for Deku after All Might, but now they're starting to feel underdeveloped. And all for what? So that rock boy, the squid eating coward, beats by dre ear girl, and the fruitcake with the belly button laser aren't forgotten? Ehh.. that's treating too many characters equally. Jud Buchelor doesn't get the same shot attempts as Pippen and Kukoc.

Black Clover took 100 episodes to get going but after 100 episodes MHA is going in reverse

See, the reason why I was initially hooked on the series was the subplot of whether All Might was gon die or get exposed (or both). Once that reached it's climax and he retired... (which I partly feel was a copout.. he shoulda died on some heroic tragic shyt vs ol buddy)... I was like aight, cool, what else you got?

But shyt got stagnant to me. Before the LeMillion arc I felt they should've just killed All Might, deaded All for One, gave us a 2-3 year time jump with Deku and gang slightly more matured/hardened, more young justice than teen titans, and that shyt would be lit to me.

Instead of all this meandering melodramatic bullshyt about saving a school concert from a clout-chasing youtuber and his underaged thot. Fukk that concert. I completely checked out

The school festival arc wasn't needed at all. And La Brava is 21.

And MHA is suffering from the same issue Naruto & Bleach had, too many damn characters. They have a full classroom of heroes, no need to bring in characters from other classes & schools. And to be honest, a lot of the characters in Deku's class are boring & not needed.

The characters from his class they should've focused on should've been Deku & Bakugo and their rivalry. Todoroki trying to surpass his father, Iyda trying to redeem his family's name after his brother got hemmed up by Stain. Gravity girl as Deku's love interest, and maybe Red Riot. The rest of those cats

Naruto beginning is formula on how to use other characters but still keep main ones in place
