Yeah, I was just thinking that its an oddly fitting combo of elements from Utena and Serial Experiments Lain.
I liked it at the time. Probably due for a rewatch myself.

I loved how the final animation is both incredible in detail to showcase the girls' talents but at the same time filled with rushed bits and sloppy storytelling to emphasize it's still made by amateurs under time restraints.

Any read or watched Ashyta No Joe?...Been reading it, pretty dope.
made me appreciate the anime industry more than I already did. only problem is that it's not longer than 12 episodes when there's so much more they can do with the set up.
its selling well in Japan so hopefully that leads to a continuation of some sort
Yeah, it's powerful. have it as my 2nd best anime ever and Joe as the best character.
Like to compare it to Ippo in how differently they approach boxing.
