Last episode was over the top crack for so early an ep in a series. It holds up remarkably well

Those two beach scenes, Mai making that sacrifice, Sakuta saying goodbye, Shouko giving up, Rio being happy Sakuta survived Christmas....

it's a play on his last name, and sorta a way to give credit to how strongly Bebop embraces diversity. He'll be played by a black actor in the live action remake though.
I would put Bear Walken from Gungrave, Carole from Carole & Tuesday, Dutch from Black Lagoon somewhere in there.
