This One Piece debate:pachaha:

I dunno still fukk with One Piece and grew up watching it but even I’m at the point where I just want the conclusion already. Been 20-something years and I just want to know what the fukk the One Piece even is at this point and see the closure for the characters

I really can’t blame y’all that don’t fukk with it tho. Unless you grew up with the shyt like me or most people have it’s kinda hard to dedicate hours of your time to watch it.

Still feel like it’s One of the most consistently good Shonen jump series I’d never recommend it to anyone. Unless they ever come out with a One Piece kai type of thing.

The overall story being built in one piece is AOT level. Actually it's on a tier of it's own tbh. One of the best in the anime history. It's just buried in poorly paced filler. I can't wait till it's finished and someone makes a super abridged version. I wait years then I fast forward through about 100 episodes. Then I repeat the process. Almost about that time again

I tried One Piece. I got up until they met Sanji, and couldn't deal with it no more. Plus that shyt is TOO LONG.
I'll be honest until the walk to Arlong Park I thought One Piece was wack.

You build a house brick by brick and when you're laying the first few bricks down it's just not gonna look like a house. When this happened I knew I was watching a special series.

You can't even watch that moment out of context and totally get it though. Luffy scouted Nami to be his navigator and she basically played him. After it all blew up in her face she threw a tantrum and broke down. Luffy's just standing there weathering it all and when she was at her lowest and begged him to help her he was ready to ride for her because to him she was gonna be part of the fam and that was that. The whole crew just fell in-line nobody said shyt nobody questioned him they were all in.

One Piece just has emotional moments like that and it builds up to them and earns them. You watch a lot of these other shonens and they try to manufacture epic emotional moments and 90% of their build up to them is a bunch of BS flashbacks they stuff into the present day stuff.

Stuff like this.

Luffy decalring war on the world government and breaking Robin out.

Even Luffy's powers

Luffy got his ass handed to him and developed a technique through the use of his power to become stronger. Luffy's power is literally his body is made of rubber. It's really not that nice of a power but Luffy developed it. You watch other shonen shows and the MC is some "special" person with some deus ex machina that comes out of nowhere to save them. They often don't earn their powerups they get in trouble and the special power simply unlocks the next level so they can get out.

One Piece desperately needs a redo on the anime without filler and proper pacing. It could be done now as there's decades worth of material to properly animate. It will probably never happen because it's too massive an undertaking.

One Piece manga is GOAT tier, I assume most people haven’t read the manga and just seen the anime when they say One Piece sucks

There’s a new episode like every week all year so they gotta pace it slower so it doesn’t get too close to the manga which is probably why it is how it is

I'm not even finna flex, I have felt like the quality of anime has declined. Sometimes it feels like ive just watched all the good ones .

Issue is this anime series need to learn to take a damn break cuz thats how quality and pacing and filler fukk up shows

They out here rushing shows that ain't even ready

Aot route or MHA route go on a damn break

But companies out here wanna put out too much anime that ain't ready with poor quality
Rather have less shows with better quality and shyt
But these companies want all this damn money cuz they profit so much from anime and manga

Its y u see so much complaining from manga artist or anime drawers cuz pay is shyt and hours are insane to do the thing they love at a cost

Fate/Stay Night Director Yuuji Yamaguchi Passes Away

Today, the anime fandom is coming together to mourn the loss of a beloved talent. Reports from Japan have gone live which confirm Yuuji Yamaguchi has passed.

The announcement was made on Twitter by Tomomi Mochizuki. The artist reached out to fans online to inform them of Yamaguchi's passing.

"Director Yuuji Yamaguchi has passed away," he shared. The artist went on to discuss the projects they worked on together over the years. "It's a shock, and I am so very sorry."

For those who do not know, Yamaguchi has worked on a series of high-profile anime over the years. Most recently, the director was praised for his work on Fate/Stay Night. Not only did Yamaguchi storyboard the anime, but he also acted as the director and episode director. He then came back to the franchise to direct Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works.

Of course, Yamaguchi worked on other series too. Some of his more notable titles include Cowboy Bebop, GeGeGe no Kitaro, Outlaw Star, and more.
