don't hate on naruto, its probably the biggest anime of all time in the west and its influence cannot be denied

I'm not hating on Naruto it's solid but not GOAT status. It's popular as hell but quality wise it completely fell apart in the end.
My Hero Academia or Black Clover, which is better?And it still can go up a notch or 2 as u keep watching especially with the new arc next week
fukk hmmm black clover was a slow burn for me nearly dropped it but since I've been watching it I actually enjoy it more than my hero
Black clover gives me the dragon ball series vibes where I can easily pick it up and watch so many times
My hero gives me the hunter x hunter feelin
When I'm in right mood and I watch it gives me a different kind of high of enjoyment more like a accomplishment type cuz of how the story is
Which I havent watched the new season still tho but will once it's done

I started watching Black Clover and I'd rank this below Fairy Tail. It comes across as that generic. The two main characters are insufferable. They must introduce some amazing characters later on to make up for them.

black clover is a pretty slow burn. In terms of parts I'd say:
Underwater temple
Forest of the witches
Royal Knight exam
Licht
Are all the standout arcs thus far. The underwater temple is the first part where the show starts to turn up but it becomes ok a little before then.
I made it through the early parts of One Piece before Arlong Park so I can watch this.
Arts is such a weak protagonist. Im trying to get over his yelling but beyond that he has no real personality. He's the definition of generic Shonen protagonist. Beyond him constantly yelling about achieving his dream which he seemingly knows nothing about there's just not much there.
I'm having a real issue with this magicless fool yelling about being a wizard let along the king of wizards. His powers make him seem more demonic if anything which are wizards enemies.
Yuno comes across as a Sasuke clone. He doesn't earn anything he gets so far he's just overpowered and a genius simply to contrast to Arta not being one.
I know people say this gets better but I just wonder how. The main two characters are just not good. We're building on a weak foundation here. We have a poor man's Naruto and Sasuke as the foundation.
This is the Naruto version of Fairy Tail's blatant ripoff of One Piece. Thing is Fairy Tail had a fairly decent group of 4 main characters. Black Clover lacks any good character to carry the show.

Anyone watching Fate/Grand Order or Fate/Apocrapha?
The new season?SAO atm has become such a good anime. the story is really PIFF
Finished up Apocrypha earlier in the year, haven't gotten to Grand Order yet.
I know it's an alternative time line, but is it any good? Emiya da Gawd isn't in it is he?
This guy helped me understand Black Clover better.
It basically never overcomes the fact that it's generic Shonen. It simply indulges in it. It continues to rip off much better shows while it escalates the plot at a very rapid level. It's basically a show that only Shonen junkies can appreciate.
I can't help but watch this show and think it's what would happen if Naruto and Sasuke were the main characters of Bleach instead of Ichigo and each joined a squad of the Gotei 13 and had the goal of being Pirate King like Luffy.
