naw, its not some overarching thing.... you can pick up any season or 'part' and be completely okay. its not like one piece or naruto where you need to follow along from day one

Do I start all the way from the very beginning with his ancestors or the golden age arc?
honestly... you could go anywhere. i think part 5 may be the most beginner friendly in a lot of ways ironically

part 2 is the best by most people's opinions.
part 3 is the defining chapter
4 and 1 are great in their own right

its hard to recommend any jojo part over another really.... that's why most say to start at the beginning. not because you need to in order to understand things, but because its awesome and you may as well watch it chronologically
